Our mission statement is leading the way in urban forestry; we strive to lead the way in everything that we do, such as looking for new technologies and new ways of doing things that are safer, more efficient, and have less environmental impact.

Our mission

Like all arborists, we really do love trees!

We do whatever we can to increase tree longevity and promote healthy growth. While some trees have to be removed to reduce risk to our community, our ultimate aim is to keep as many trees as possible around for as long as we can. 

Our Managing Director, Chris Walsh, is the current President of the International Society of Arboriculture and has been a Board member for the past seven years. Sharing knowledge and expertise with international markets helps to drive Treetech’s sustainable thinking and innovation, and positions our business at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies. 

Sustainably powered equipment

Driven by our sustainability mission, our current focus is on switching to sustainably powered equipment. We began by moving to high-performance battery chainsaws, blowers, and hedge trimmers, and are now migrating our fleet to electric and hybrid cars and trucks.

We measure tCO2e of our vehicle emissions and ensure we continuously re-route our vehicles ensuring they don’t travel too far. It’s measures like these, big and small, that equal the bigger picture. We also choose to work with subcontractors and suppliers that share our commitment to sustainability.

We’re proud to be certified with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001

One of our proudest sustainability initiatives is our stormwater management system; this has allowed us to create a flourishing wetland, teeming with animal and bird life, in our yard – while also managing our water.

We’re proud to be certified with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. ISO 14001 is an environmental management standard with stringent measures for carbon footprint, water use and waste management. These certifications are our way of demonstrating that we walk the talk and are genuinely focused on our environmental impact.

We acknowledge that sustainability is a moving space, and we certainly haven’t finished our sustainability journey!
